Vi accolgo, con gioia, con le Comunità cristiane della nostra Diocesi, che in questo tempo si apre con rinnovato entusiasmo a chi, come voi, cerca insieme ad un meritato riposo, bellezza, cultura e spiritualità.
Siete arrivati in un luogo in cui la meraviglia del creato incontra l’arte dell’uomo, dove le colline, il mare e le montagne sembrano cantare insieme la lode del Creatore.
Vi invito a lasciarvi toccare dalla bellezza dei nostri paesaggi, ma anche delle nostre Chiese, che non sono solo testimonianze artistiche e storiche, ma segni vivi di una Fede che attraversa i secoli e ci spinge, oggi e sempre più, ad attualizzare il Vangelo di Cristo.
Ogni pietra, ogni affresco, ogni silenzio tra le navate è un anelito verso il Trascendente, un invito ad alzare lo sguardo, ad aprire il cuore.
Quest’anno, Nova Gorica e Gorizia (Slovenia ed Italia) sono insieme Capitale Europea della Cultura: un evento che richiama l’anima profonda di questa terra di confine, dove i popoli si incontrano, i linguaggi si intrecciano e le culture si abbracciano. In questo contesto, la Fede cristiana continua ad offrire un contributo prezioso: quello della fraternità, della pace e della speranza che nasce dalla Risurrezione di Cristo.
Un pensiero speciale va anche a tutti gli operatori del turismo, che con passione e dedizione accolgono, accompagnano e fanno conoscere le ricchezze del nostro territorio. Il loro lavoro è prezioso e contribuisce a costruire legami di umanità e dialogo.
Vi auguro che questo tempo sia per tutti occasione di incontro, di arricchimento reciproco e di autentica gioia.
L’anno giubilare alimenti nei nostri cuori la Speranza per un futuro di pace.

Let yourselves be moved not only by the beauty of our landscapes, but also of our churches — more than artistic treasures or historical landmarks, they stand as living symbols of a faith that has endured for centuries, inspiring us to embrace the Gospel of Christ in today’s world.
Every stone, every fresco, every quiet moment within the naves hold a deep longing for the Transcendent, a call to lift our eyes, to open our hearts.
This year, Nova Gorica and Gorizia (Slovenia and Italy) stand together as the European Capital of Culture: an event that recalls the soul of this borderland, where peoples meet, languages intertwine and cultures embrace. In this setting, the Christian faith continues to offer a meaningful message: that of fraternity, peace and the hope found in the Resurrection of Christ.
A special thought also goes to all those working in tourism, whose passion and dedication make our region’s treasures known. Their efforts are invaluable, fostering connections and promoting meaningful dialogue among all who visit.
May this time be an opportunity to build new friendships, grow personally, and find true joy in each other’s company.
Moreover, may the Jubilee year inspire hope in our hearts and guide us toward a future filled with peace.

Dragi prijatelji in gostje na našem ozemlju,
z veseljem vam izrekam dobrodošlico, z menoj pa krščanske skupnosti naše škofije. Začenjamo obdobje, ko mnogi, tudi vi, iščejo ob zasluženem počitku tudi lepoto, kulturo in duhovnost.
Prišli ste v kraje, kjer se čudovito stvarstvo križa s človeško umetelnostjo, kjer se zdi, da griči, morje in hribi skupaj pojejo hvalnico Stvarniku.
Vabim vas, da dovolite našim pokrajinam naj se vas dotaknejo s svojo lepoto; z njimi pa tudi našim cerkvam, ki niso samo izraz umetnosti in zgodovine, pač pa znamenja žive vere, priča preteklih stoletij, in nas silijo, da danes in vedno bolj vidno utelesimo Kristusov evangelij.
Vsak kamen, vsaka freska, vsaka tišina med cerkvenimi ladjami je hrepenenje po presežnem, je povabilo, da dvignemo pogled, da odpremo srce.
Nova Gorica in Gorica (Slovenija in Italija) sta letos skupaj evropska prestolnica kulture: dogodek, ki predstavlja globoko dušo te zemlje ob meji, kjer se ljudstva srečujejo, se jeziki prepletajo in se kulture objemajo. V tem smislu tudi krčanska vera ne neha nuditi svoj dragoceni prispevek: bratstvo, mir in upanje, ki izhajajo iz Kristusovega vstajenja.
Posebno misel namenjam tudi turističnim delavcem, ki z občutkom in nesebično sprejemajo in spremljajo ter razkazujejo lepote našega ozemlja. Njihovo delo je dragoceno in pripomore k gradnji človeških povezav in dialoga.
Voščim vam, da bi bil ta čas priložnost tako za srečanje, kakor za medsebojno bogatenje in avtentično veselje. Jubilejno leto naj krepi v naših srcih upanje v mirno prihodnost.

Ich heisse Sie mit Freude in den christlichen Gemeinschaften unserer Diözese willkommen, die sich in diesen Tagen mit neuem Enthusiasmus all jenen öfnet, die wie Sie auf der Suche nach Schönheit, Kultur und Spiritualität sowie nach einer wohlverdienten Erholung sind.
Sie sind an einen Ort gekommen, wo das Wunder der Schöpfung auf die Kunst des Menschen trifft, wo die Hügel, das Meer und die Berge gemeinsam das Lob des Schöpfers zu singen scheinen.
Ich lade Sie ein, sich von der Schönheit unserer Landschaften berühren zu lassen, aber auch von unseren Kirchen, die nicht nur künstlerische und historische Zeutngisse sind, sondern lebendige Zeichen eines Glaubens, der die Jahrhunderte überspannt und uns anspornt, heute und in Zukunft das Evangelium Christi zu aktualisieren.
Jeder Stein, jedes Fresko, jede Stille zwischen den Kirchenschiffen ist eine Sehnsucht nach dem Transzendenten, eine Einladung, den Blick zu heben und das Herz zu öffnen.
In diesem Jahr sind Nova Gorica und Gorizia (Slowenien und Italien) gemeinsam Kulturhauptstadt Europas: in Ereignis, das an die tiefe Seele dieses Grenzgebietes erinnert, in dem sich Völker begegnen, Sprachen miteinander verflechten und Kulturen sich umarmen. In diesem Zusammenhan leistet der christliche Glaube weiterhin einen wertvollen Beitrag: den der Brüderlichkeit, des Friedens und der Hoffnung, die aus der Auferstehung Christus erwächst.
Ein besonderer Gedanke gilt auch allen Toursimusakteuren, die mit Leidenschaft und Hingabe die Reichtümer unseres Gebietes empfangen, begleiten und bekanntmachen. Ihre Arbeit ist wertvoll und trägt dazu bei, Bande der Menschlichkeit und des Dialogs zu knüpfen.
Ich wünsche Ihnen, dass diese Zeit für alle eine Gelegenheit der Begegnung, der gegenseitigen Bereicherung und der echten Freude sein möge.
